LAST summer saw the launch of Rewind Festival; the surprise smash hit festival of 2009, taking place at Temple Island Meadows in Henley.
The festival attracted 30,000 fans over the weekend and received rave reviews across the media. It was nominated for "Best New Festival" at the 2009 UK Festival Awards, it was bathed in glorious sunshine and it’s back again for 2010 — taking place once again at Temple Island Meadows from August 20 to 22.

The massive line-up of stars from the era includes lots of new artists such as Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, Boy George, Level 42, Bjorn Again and Marc Almond as well as some of last year’s favourites including Rick Astley, ABC, Go West and Henley resident Carol Decker of T’Pau.
"Last year was such a fantastic event," said Carol, "and there has been a real buzz about the festival in the music business. I can’t wait for the summer and the chance to play again in Henley and see loads of old and new friends."

Rewind is a pop festival with a difference, catering for festival-goers who like a bit of comfort and luxury in their lives.
This starts with getting to the festival. If you don’t want to walk to Temple Island, you can travel down the river on shuttle boats run by Hobbs of Henley and if you are travelling by car there are none of the customary traffic jams, with plenty of car parking available free of charge.

At the festival site there is a wide range of themed bars, from Aspalls Cider House to waitress service Cocktail Bars, as well as an excellent range of food traders serving cuisine from around the world. London restaurant chain Bodean’s will be serving up a sizzling selection of BBQ food and new for 2010, the Adam Fellows (formerly of the Michelin starred restaurant The Mulberry Tree) founded ‘Malinkeys’ will be bringing their two storey restaurant to Temple Island Meadows.
2010 also sees the introduction of a limited number of V.I.P. passes, which allow access over the weekend to the V.I.P. backstage bar and garden, a chance to rub shoulders with some of the stars (and access the V.I.P. toilets)!

When you feel you need a break from the Main Stage there is loads of other entertainment from the Silent Disco to Live Karaoke, Funfairs to Fireworks, the Kidzone to Stand-up Comedy.
"Although in only its first year the festival became the biggest Eighties festival in the world. It is really important to us that it keeps its unique, family-friendly atmosphere", said festival organiser David Heartfield. "The crowd last summer who dressed up and sang along all weekend were the real stars of the show."
