MORE than 2,000 runners took part in the 30th Henley half marathon and Henley Standard 10km on Sunday.
The main event was won by Ben Reynolds for the seventh time in a gun time of one hour, 14 minutes and one second.
Mr Reynolds, 48, of Vicarage Road, Henley, said: “It’s my local race and it’s a great course so it’s a pleasure to win.”
The 10km was won by Matthew Davenport, from Maidenhead, in a gun time of 35 minutes and 49 seconds.
Dave Moseley and Greg Marsh, who have taken part in every Henley half marathon to date, were among the other finishers.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Henley Bridge and is expected to have raised thousands of pounds for the RNLI and other charities.
A full report, pictures and results will be published in this week’s Standard, available on Friday.
