A CHILDREN’S Christmas party will be held in Woodcote village hall tomorrow (Sat Dec 22) between 2.45pm and 5pm.
A Silly Christmas Magic Show will be held and followed by party food and musical games.
Entertainer Jester Giggles - alias Terry Sopp - is raising money for the Six Counties Kidney Patients’ Association, which provides financial and emotional support for kidney patients in Oxford and surrounding areas.
Mr Sopp has a successful kidney transplant six years ago after being on dialysis for 23 years. His sister also inherited the disease and has been on the transplant waiting list for four years.
He has so far raised more than £21,000 from having a stall at the Woodcote Steam Rally every year since 1990, hosting coffee mornings in the Old Schoolhouse and having a tombola stall at the Woodcote Festival in September.
Mr Sopp said: “This charity is very close to me and my family’s heart. Woodcote has been very generous over the years in funding this worthy cause.”
Tickets cost £6 and parents can enter for free. To buy a ticket, call Mr Sopp on 01491 641431 or email terrysopp@btinternet.com
