THE Co-op in Sonning Common was closed today after cigarettes were stolen in a raid last night.

Staff said two men were caught on CCTV breaking into the shop at 11.30pm.

It was the second theft in three months after a man stole bottles of vodka from the store in November.

The shop, in Wood Lane, usually opens at 7am but was still shut at 11am while a police forensic team examined the scene.
