A film directed by the founder of the Henley Fringe Festival will be screened at this year’s Cannes Film festival.
Jo Southwell, from Aston, wrote Holding On after being inspired by her father’s battle with Alzheimers’s Disease.
She says she is “estatic” that the film has been chosen to be screened in the festival’s short film corner. It is also being considered for inclusion in the main short film competition and the showcase for first-time film-makers.
