A CAMPAIGN has been launched in South Oxfordshire to warn drinkers about the risks of behaving antisocially.
The Summer Socialising, Social Seclusion campaign will see beer mats and posters distributed to pubs that have signed up to the Nightsafe scheme.
The mats will act as a reminder to drinkers that behaving antisocially could result in them being banned from pubs and town centres.
Councillor Bill Service, cabinet member for community safety at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We are continuing to work with police and our local pubs to promote our market towns as safe and enjoyable places to spend time.
“The vast majority of drinkers go to the pub to enjoy themselves and are a big part of the local community.
“However, there will always be one or two who may cause issues for other people, so seeing a quick reminder as they finish their drink may prompt them to think again.”
