A WOOL shop in Henley has re-opened.
Black Hills Yarn, in Hart Street, first opened in 2009 but closed in January to focus on online business and its Watlington showroom.
However, owner Penny Cole failed to sell the shop lease so decided to re-open.
Mrs Cole, 65, who lives in Watlington, with her husband Brian, 71, said: “We have had interest but nothing concrete. The knitting season is now upon us so we decided to re-open. I will hold the lease until April.” The company is named after a farm in New Zealand run by Mrs Cole’s business partner Beverley Forrester and supplies the shop with its wool.
The store sells a range of yarns, wool, tapestries and knitting accessories as well as patterns for those new to the art.
Mrs Cole, who has a background in dress-making and crafts, is also to resume her evening knitting classes at the store on every other Wednesday at 7pm.
Daytime classes will take place at Maison Blanc every Tuesday at 10am.
