RESIDENTS of South Oxfordshire are being encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees.
Trees can be taken to the Oxfordshire County Council waste recycling centre at Oakley Wood or left next to residentsí brown bins for collection during a garden waste collection week.
They can also be taken to the following centres until Sunday, January 12: Toad Hall, Henley, Root One, Brightwell-cum-sotwell, Herb Farm, Sonning Common, and the Tree Barn, Christmas Common.
Trees can also be left in the car park at Ewelme recreation ground or at Watlington recreation ground.
In Henley, trees can be recycled by taking them to Mill Meadows car.
Henley Town Councilís parks staff are offering to shred trees for a £2 donation next Sunday (January 5) and Monday from 10am to noon.
The money raised will go to Henley in Bloom.

Garden waste collections will not take place until January 9 so crews can concentrate on collecting the extra household waste generated over Christmas.
Collections due today (Friday) (green bin) will take place on Monday (December 30).
Collections due on Monday (grey bin) will take place on Tuesday.
Collections due on Tuesday (grey bin) will take place on Thursday (January 2).
Collections due on Wednesday (grey bin) will take place next Friday (January 3).
Collections due on Thursday (grey bin) will take place next Saturday (January 4).
Collections due next Friday (January 3) (grey bin) will take place on Monday, January 6.
Collections due on January 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will all take place the day after they are supposed to take place (all green bins).
