I AM 64 and live in Vicarage Road, Henley, with my wife Fiona, a veterinary surgeon and owner of Henley Vets, and our three sons, two dogs, four cats, five ducks and tortoise.
Our house has been refurbished to the point where it is so highly insulated and air tight that it preserves its heat and doesn’t even need central heating.
I am an experienced teacher who gave up teaching as my boys came along to home educate them.
I run a small web design business and am a member of Henley in Transition and run its website.
I am standing for Henley Town Council as I believe that Green Party values are going to have a very real contribution to make in the near future as we all realise that action on climate change is not optional, wake up to the damage being done to our environment and see the damage that austerity and inequality are doing to us as a society.
If elected, I would aim to influence the way that the council approaches problems to ensure that broader considerations than party politics are considered, whatever the subject.
