TWO large temporary signs are to go up at Mill Meadows in Henley to remind visitors that barbecues are banned.
The signs will be placed in the town council’s car parks in Meadow Road and Mill Lane before Saturday.
The council is expecting a large influx of Sikh visitors this weekend, which marks the annual religious festival of Vaisakhi.
Dozens of Sikh families have visited Mill Meadows for Vaisakhi in previous years and some have held barbecues, which is not allowed.
The council, which owns the riverside beauty spot, says it welcomes the visitors but wants to ensure the rules are clear.
