THE Henley Gardening Buddies have planted up flower beds in Mill Meadows.
They put alpines and herbs in the sensory garden rockery and eight new shrubs in the Rotary garden, along with hebes and ceanothus.
It comes just two months after the beds were left looking a mess by flooding in the area.
Town councillor Elizabeth Hodgkin, who runs the buddies, said: “We planted hebes because they produce lovely flowers and are bee-friendly, which is what we are focusing on this year.
There wasn’t too much damage caused by the floods but the Rotary garden had needed some attention for a while. Now it’s going to look really lovely.”
The group will hold another 10 sessions before June, starting with the flower beds at the fire station in West Street.
