Micklands Primary School in Caversham is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
The children have been learning about the history of the school and parents and grandparents who were once pupils have been sharing their memories.
Headteacher Sharon Jones said: “Micklands has seen many pupils go happily through its doors over the last seven decades and we are all very proud to be celebrating this important event. We look forward to many more years of ‘taking pride and aiming high’.”
The children marked the anniversary on Wednesday with a performance about the school’s history for their parents and guests followed by a picnic lunch.
There was an exhibition of documents and photographs in the school hall.
