ACTRESS Ali Bastian waltzed her way to a perfect score on Strictly Come Dancing last week.
It was a big recovery for the former star of The Bill and Hollyoaks, who had to dance for her survival the week before after ending up in the bottom two.
Her Viennese waltz with partner Brian Fortuna on Saturday’s BBC1 show garnered four 10s from the judges, with Len Goodman declaring it the dance of the series so far.
Bruno Tonioli said: “Dance has the power to move our hearts and really make us dream — you did that tonight.”
Notorious nitpicker Craig Revel-Horwood added: “I’m very disappointed — I couldn’t find a single thing wrong with it.”
Ali, 26, who has a home in Henley, topped the leaderboard, leaving main rival and former Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle trailing by five points.
However, she is still only second favourite to win the show, with average odds of 3/1, while Whittle remains the favourite.
Soap stars Craig Kelly and Ricky Groves went head to head for survival in a dance-off with Coronation Street actor Kelly given his marching orders.
The show was filmed at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
