AN appeal by owners of Henley’s lap-dancing club against the loss of its licence will be heard in December.
Diamonds and Pearls in Greys Road car park had its licence revoked at the request of the police after a total of 106 crimes were reported at the premises in two years.
South Oxfordshire District Council’s licensing panel heard evidence of licence breaches, including drug- taking, prostitution, assaults by staff on customers and operating out of hours. Chairman Malcolm Leonard said there was “no alternative” to revoking the licence.
The appeal by Andy Mags, owner of Diamonds and Pearls, and Leno Borg, owner of Latino’s nightclub, which shares the building, means the clubs can remain open until it is heard.
