Brakspear to hold golf day

Brakspear to hold golf day

Brakspear will hold a golf day for customers to its Henley pubs.

The brewery and pub management company wants teams to sign up for the event at Henley Golf Club on Friday, April 7.

Competitors can register as a team of four at any Brakspear pub, ideally including the landlord, to take on the 18-hole course.

The winners will receive a trophy to display in their pub, while the top four sides will also win prizes. There is also a special prize for anyone who can score a hole in one.

Entry costs £180 per team, which includes a bacon roll on arrival, a pint of Brakspear and sausage roll at the halfway point and lunch and drinks at the clubhouse afterwards.

All players will also receive a selection of golfing goods.

Entry is limited to 22 teams on a first come, first served basis.

Tom Davies, Brakspear chief executive, said, "We've held occasional golf tournaments in the past for our licensees in and around Henley which have always been very popular.

“We thought we'd open it up to our customers and create a new event that brings together people with a shared love of Brakspear pubs, beer and golf.

“We think it's a winner for everyone who takes part and are looking forward not only to the day, but to seeing the winner's trophy take pride of place in one of our pubs."
