Leander celebrates bicentenary with art project

ABOUT 200 people attended a private viewing of an art project to mark the bicentenary of Leander Club in Henley.

Two-hundred papier-mâché hippos, which are the rowing club’s symbol, have been decorated by schools, businesses and community groups and are all being displayed at the River and Rowing Museum for a limited time before some are auctioned off for charity.
