All aboard: residents of a care home were taken on a cruise on the Thames

All aboard: residents of a care home were taken on a cruise on the Thames by Hobbs of Henley. The 13 residents of Chilterns End in Greys Road as well as carers and volunteers spent two hours on Hibernia, travelling up and down the river and enjoying a picnic lunch. They were transported to and from the boatyard in Station Road by bus. Organiser Geoff Childs said the cruise was one of a series of events to get residents out of the home. He said: “Everyone really enjoyed it and took lots of photographs for our display board. We would like to say a big thank-you to Hobbs for their kindness and thoughtfulness and also to the special transport division, whose efforts are often taken for granted.”
