SIX Henley residents were accidentally sent duplicate postal voting forms for Thursday’s EU referendum.

SIX Henley residents were accidentally sent duplicate postal voting forms for Thursday’s EU referendum.

South Oxfordshire District Council, which is the returning authority, has blamed the mix-up on a printing error. A total of 113 people in Abingdon were also affected.

Chief executive David Buckle said its contractor immediately flagged up the mistake and everyone received letters of apology.

He said it was a “minor blip” and there was no risk of people voting twice as duplicates would be rejected during counting.
