Eighties designed house has air, space and light

THE Round House is an award-winning modern house which was designed and built in 1984 by architect Glen Beard for his own occupation.

The open plan, multi-level living accommodation gently spirals around a central atrium benefiting from the clever use of natural light by way of skylights and French doors, creating a sense of tranquillity and calm.

The property is being launched by Savills this weekend with an open house day on Saturday. Other features include an airy split-level sitting room/dining area with central indoor garden, an open circular granite gas fire with stainless steel hood and five French doors opening on to a brick terrace and garden.

There is a fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces with central island and glazed door to paved courtyard garden, a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and fully tiled ensuite shower room incorporating a walk-in circular shower, a guest bedroom with ensuite bathroom, two further bedrooms and a light, open galleried sitting area with glass roof overlooking the indoor garden.

The Round House is approached over a shared brick courtyard with parking for three cars leading through wrought iron gates to secure parking and leading to a detached garage with workshop behind.
