Elegant home full of history

Elegant home full of history
Eyot House is an impressive Edwardian Grade II listed detached family home full of history starting with the design by architect Halsey Ralph Ricardo.

Ricardo worked closely with his client Reginald Blunt and English potter and designer, William De Morgan who is best known for his work in ceramics. Many fine examples of De Morgan’s work can be found throughout Eyot House.

The front door features three colourful glazed panels and opens to a beautiful wide entrance hall featuring a tile archway and antique fireplace surrounded with Delft tiles dating from 1648. Glazed double doors at the end of the entrance hall lead to the delightful south-east facing garden.

The kitchen/breakfast room is flooded with natural light and offers fantastic space for cooking and dining with free flowing space between the two distinct areas linked with a graceful archway.

Historic features include a working butler’s bell and beautifully preserved original coving. Next door to the kitchen/breakfast room is the double aspect dining room with oak flooring and an art deco fireplace.
