Carpenter to sell family home of last 80 years

A CARPENTER from Henley is selling the house he has lived in for almost eight decades.

Ted Dorey, 79, moved into Albert House when he was 12 weeks old and has never lived anywhere else.

The semi-detached property in Greys Road was built in about 1900 by housebuilder Albert Hamilton.

Mr Hamilton, who built all the houses around the corner in Albert Road, used it as his private residence for a time.

He was living elsewhere by 1934, when Mr Dorey’s parents Catherine and Percival moved in as tenants.
