WITH one of the largest catalogues of the year Romans’ September auction offers an array of fantastic investment opportunities and residential properties in sought after locations, across Berkshire, North Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire.
There are 10 properties available in and around Reading, ideal for savvy investors, being sold at auction on Tuesday, September 30, at 1.30pm at Blue Mountain Conference Centre in Bracknell. These include a Grade II listed, four storey, town centre office building on London Street, complete with planning permission for change of use to residential, with a guide price of £250,000.
A pair of semi-detached houses, each with one third of an acre of land, on Island Road, are being sold on behalf of Reading Borough Council. Both properties have guide prices of £150,000 each.
Several terraced properties are also being auctioned including a two-bedroom mid terrace, located in the University area on Foxhill Road; Queen’s Cottages, an end-of-terrace house in the heart of Reading town centre, close to the River Kennet; and a period property currently configured as a one-bedroom flat and split level three-bedroom flat on Bedford Road, with guide prices of £180,000, £220,000 and £250,000 respectively.
“These types of properties always attract a lot of interest from local property investors, as well as buyers looking for a project,” said Simon Clayton, auctions director at Romans. “Reading is a commuter hotspot and with the London ‘ripple’ effect in full swing it’s an ideal location in which to buy a long-term investment.”
