Bronze medal for Digby

GREYS GREEN’S Ed Digby won a bronze medal at the British Rowing Junior Championships.

GREYS GREEN’S Ed Digby won a bronze medal at the British Rowing Junior Championships.

The 15-year-old who attends Pangbourne College clinched his medal in the U16 boys’ quad A final at the National Water Sports Centre in Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham.

Digby teamed up with rowers from Abingdon School, Kingston Grammar School and Minerva Rowing Club (Bath) in a mixed crew, who had hardly raced together prior to the three-day championships.

The mixed quad came home in bronze medal position in a time of six minutes and 56 seconds on the 2,000m course behind winners Warrington RC and silver medallists Globe RC.
