HENLEY Rowing Club’s seniors and masters were out in force this weekend at the Maidenhead Regatta.

Alastair Harshant and Alex Maytum delivered a convincing victory in the Intermediate 3 double sculls, beating Maidenhead RC by three-quarters of a length.

There were also wins for the masters mixed eight, who after beating Pars Priory in the semi-finals, lost to Marlow RC in the final. The scratch crew of Sevim Gencer, Barry Redman, Fiona Yates, Lucas Jones, Jenny Parr, Jiri Rasek, Sarah Davies, Britta von Lewinski and Simon Morgan showed commitment to reach the finals after a gruelling day of racing which saw most of the crew compete in other disciplines throughout the day.

Some strong performances were also seen across the rest of the club in the novice/masters single and double sculls as well the master quads.
