Upper Thames win three pennants at Hammersmith
UPPER THAMES won three pennants at the Hammersmith Head of the River Race on Sunday.

The course from Chiswick Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge was raced in calm conditions.

The successful men’s squad won elite eights, beating crews from Molesey, London and Quintin in a time of 10 minutes, 15 seconds. Following closely behind, the club’s second boat won the Intermediate 1 category in a time of 10 minutes, 25 seconds, with a third crew finishing only seven seconds further back in 10 minutes, 32 seconds.

To round things off, the Masters D crew, pictured, of Pete McConnell, Graham Lloyd, Jon Thornber, Gareth Morris, John Ewans, Alex Jessel, Chris Hall and Pete Jacobs and they were coxed by Emma Searle won their category in a time of 11 minutes, one second.
