Hogan misses out

Hogan misses out
SEVERAL Shiplake College rowers travelled to Nottingham earlier this month for the latest round of GB rowing trials.

Shiplake put two pairs forward for the first race off. Max Hearnden was partnered with a rower from Winchester College, while Harry Hogan was partnered by first eight member Harry Berkley at the last minute after his original Reading Blue Coat partner pulled out due to illness. The two boats finished 16th and 10th respectively, missing out on a top-seven qualification.

Hogan was invited to attend the final trials and joined up with another rower whose pairs partner had pulled out injured. Hogan failed to make the GB boats but still finished in the top 35 juniors in the country.
