Shiplake College quad post fastest time

BOTH Henley Rowing Club and Shiplake College Boat Club had success at the Reading Small Boats Head on Saturday.

The Shiplake crew of Tim Waller, Phillip Green, Andrew Turnhill and Henry Edwards triumphed in the IM1 quad sculls. The quad had an impressive scull not only winning the category but also posting the fastest time of the whole day ahead of 390 other boats.

Matthew Aldridge, Freddie Brady, Joshua Cuffe and Mathew Brown raced for the first time this year, competing in men’s novice quad sculls where they finished in second place.

Racing in IM3 double sculls, came the crews of Seb Newman and Henry Blois-Brooke and Harry and Tom Berkley. Both crews posted impressive times with the Newman, Blois-Brooke crew coming out on top winning the event ahead of the Berkleys by 12 seconds who came second.

Henley’s boys’ J15-18 squad had wins in every year group.
