Henley enter first women's open quad sculls

HENLEY Rowing Club, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year, will have nine crews in seven events at this year’s regatta.

The Britannia Cup crew of Stan Admiraal, Chris Mitchell, Andy Pettican, Rich Moody and cox Zoe Thomas is a mixture of youth and experience.

The coxed four has shown promise in recent months and will hope for a strong showing on their home water.

The men’s quad sculls crew of Pete Wells, Tom Wilkinson, Josh Davidson and Dave Read that will compete in the Prince of Wales Cup has an exceptional pedigree with 14 Henley wins between them.

The crew has already tasted a degree of success this year with podium finishes at two major regattas.
