SHIPLAKE VIKINGS won the WJ15 quad sculls at Maidenhead junior regatta in a competition that saw three of their four crews reach their respective finals.

The girls’ J13 quad comprising Emily Jackson, Eleanor Blois-Brooke, Georgia Wornham, and Eleanor Lee coxed by Katie Jackson comfortably won all their heats but were narrowly pipped at the post in the final.

The girls’ J14 quad made up of Abby Webb, Libby Gordon, Izzy Talaga and Antonia Buckler coxed by Moa Eddlestone rowed well but were knocked out in the semi-final. Meanwhile, in the girls’ J16 double event, Megan Tooley and Suzy Penrose battled through four rounds only to lose narrowly in the final.

Tooley then jumped into a quad and stroked her J15 crew mates of Grace Swiatek, Hattie Ellis and Gabbie Buckler with Moa Eddlestone back in the cox’s seat to a win in their final.
