Home advantage tells for Gillotts

HOST school Gillotts won four of the six age categories competed for at the recent South Oxon cross country races.

HOST school Gillotts won four of the six age categories competed for at the recent South Oxon cross country races.

Gillotts won all the girl categories — year seven, years eight and nine and years 10 and 11 — while the year eight and nine boys also won their category. There were good individual performances from Morgan Hanson, Nancie Bowley, Lois Meredith and Elliot Morton who all won their age categories.

Other schools competing in the races, which varied in distance from 1,746 metres to 5,500 metres, were Chiltern Edge, Wallingford, Wheatley Park, Icknield, Langtree, Didcot Girls and St Birinus.
