Oratory students triumph

THE Oratory Preparatory School won the 4km U11 Greyhound Run at the Oratory School for the first time since the competition began five years ago.

In an event which involved 10 schools, the Oratory Prep boys achieved an impressive positions total of 18 which put them well ahead of second-placed Summerfields (31) and third-placed Moulsford (34).

Jack Lynskey led the Oratory Prep challenge in finishing second, with Max Ashton (third), Dominic Martin (fifth) and Billy Fundell (eighth) following home in the four positions that counted.

The Oratory Prep U12 team finished second with a total of 43 in their event which was won by Sunningdale (37). Xavier Watson (second), Hugo Moreno (fifth) and Edu Serra Scott (sixth) gave the Oratory Prep a good start but their next best position was 30th.

Overall, the Oratory Prep scored 61 with Summerfields in second place on 81.
