HENLEY Sailing Club has been awarded £2,000 after being left under 3ft of water during the winter floods.
The club in Willow Lane, Wargrave, received the money from Sport Englands flood relief fund to pay for repairs.
It will shore up quay heading on the river banks, repair a footbridge and damage to the car park and replace a winch used to deploy the safety boat.
During the floods, the clubs car park and grounds were submerged after the River Thames burst its banks but the clubhouse remained dry.
Volunteers had to work around the clock to get the club ready for the start of the new season, which was delayed by two weeks until March 29.
Commodore Peta Bowyer said: We are extremely grateful to Sport England for this funding. Combined with the hard work which our members continue to put in, this award will allow us to carry out crucial repairs.
Jennie Price, chief executive of Sport England, added: We want to play our part in helping communities get back to normal and we are delighted to be able to give this emergency funding to Henley Sailing Club.
More than £5 million of National Lottery revenue has been put towards the fund nationally.
