Sea cadets receive £1,000 from fireworks
HENLEY Summer Fireworks has donated £1,000 to the town’s sea cadets.

The money, which was raised through bucket collections at the event last summer, was presented at the Eyot Centre in Wargrave Road, where the cadets are based. It will be put towards a new boat.

Billy Pinches, president of Henley Summer Fireworks, said: “The money generated by the fireworks is distributed to local charities.

“We have made donations to Riding for the Disabled, Helen and Douglas House, Henley Youth Centre and now the sea cadets.

“The cadets are very good as they help us collect money on the river using their boats.”
