Objection to some...

PLANS for seven new homes in Lower Shiplake have been opposed by Henley councillors for failing to comply with the town’s neighbourhood plan.

An outline application has been submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, to redevelop the site of Mount Ida, a private residence.

The town council’s planning committee recommended refusal on the grounds that it was not in accordance with the plan and because of highways safety.

The site was put forward for inclusion in the neighbourhood plan but did not make the final draft.
