CHECKENDON Equestrian Centre, a British Horse Society Centre with professional and qualified staff, runs Pony Days — either full or half days — for children to learn to ride or to improve their riding skills and learn some stable management.

The full day runs from 10am to 4pm and includes two hours of riding (lessons and/or hacking in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside) and two hours of stable management instruction as well as grooming, feeding, learning to care for ponies and having lots of fun.

A half day is from 10am to 1pm and is made up of one hour of riding, one hour of stable management and grooming as in the full day. The pony days are available throughout all school holidays, including Easter and half-term holidays.

Training is an important part of Checkendon Equestrian Centre, where clients and staff are encouraged to train towards British Horse Society examinations. The centre is delighted to announce the following success for clients and staff who have trained and taken exams.

Six candidates passed the Riding and Road Safety examination and four candidates passed the BHS Stage 1 examination.

Checkendon Equestrian Centre hosts BHS examinations from Stage 1 to Stage 3 and provides training for all Stages.
