Tilly and Tod are the tops

THE winter showjumping championship at Checkendon Equestrian Centre ran from November to April.

THE winter showjumping championship at Checkendon Equestrian Centre ran from November to April.

The winning combination was Tilly Booker and Tod, who received their trophy, sash and champion’s rosette from Linda Tarrant, the manager of the centre.

The summer championships at Checkendon’s outdoor arenas (with warm–up and competition on surfaces) run from now until October.

There is a variety of competitions at the centre, open to all levels of rider for those who have their own horse or pony and for those who would like to hire a horse or pony.



The next competitions are:

Tomorrow (Saturday) — combined training,

Wednesday, June 3 and Saturday, June 6 — affiliated and unaffiliated dressage.

Saturday, June 20 — showjumping (including cash jumping).

Saturday, June 27 — team quest dressage.

Saturday, July 4 — eventer’s challenge.
