THE Look Out Discovery Centre is a great place to visit with indoor and outdoor activities so there is something to do, whatever the weather.

The hands-on science centre is set in more than 1,000 hectares of Swinley Forest with a popular adventure play area, walks and bike trails.

The main attractions inside are more than 90 hands-on science and discovery activities — children are encouraged not just to touch, but to press, pull, roll, wind up and discover science in such a way they don’t realise they are learning.

Popular activities include launching the hydrogen rocket, building a giant house and taking a picture of your shadow.

This October half-term, they have The Brilliant Brain Show, which is a fantastic show looking at how our brains work. Hands-on science fun!

Shows are subject to minimum numbers and an additional charge to the main entrance fee. The show is on until January 3, 2017.

The Look Out has a gift shop which sells a wide range of fun toys and games as well as pocket money treats, while the café offers sandwiches, light snacks, cakes, coffee and cold drinks. We are open daily from 10am to 5pm. You can find us on Facebook — or for more information visit www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/be or call 01344 354400.

The Look Out Discovery Centre’s address is Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 7QW, just off junction three of the M3 and junction 10 of the M4.
