OCCUPYING a beautiful rural setting on the banks of the River Thames, just two-and-a-half miles upstream from the world-famous Henley Royal Regatta stretch, it is no surprise that Shiplake College has a reputation for producing some of the country’s strongest rowing talent.
This summer, the college is once again offering week-long training camps for novice and improving rowers, taking full advantage of their extensive facilities, including two boat houses containing an excellent fleet of boats.
The summer camps offer expert coaching and comprehensive tuition to ensure all participants are able to significantly develop their skills and techniques.
They are open to boys and girls aged between 13 and 18 - those due to be in years nine to 13 in September 2015.
The camps will take place across two weeks in mid-July, with daily sessions running from 10am to 4pm.
Each week will culminate in a mini-regatta on the Friday afternoon, and parents are encouraged to come and see the excellent progress the rowers will have made.
