Club celebrates golden year
HENLEY Synchronised Swimming Club enjoyed a successful 2013, winning medals at several events across the country.

The events were both regional and national and took place in Nottingham, Kent, Croydon and Gloucester.

Over the course of the year the club won three gold, seven silver and three bronze medals for both team and individual swims.

The final event for the year was the club’s annual show which took place at Henley Leisure Centre earlier this month. Afterwards, club awards were presented by the coaches to mark various end-of-year achievements which included: most improved swimmer, Chelsea Holliday; highest attendance award, Caroline Wilkinson; most promising newcomer, Ruby Sarney; special individual achievement award, Lexi Scott.

Medals were also awarded for the Oxfordshire County Figures Championships that took place last month. In all 16 were presented consisting of seven gold, five silver and four bronze.
