Henley return from invitation event laden with medals

HENLEY’S Synchronised Swimming Club returned from the Kent County Invitational Competition with six medals.

HENLEY’S Synchronised Swimming Club returned from the Kent County Invitational Competition with six medals.

The competition, held in Rochester, comprised both individual figures and team swims.

The Henley club entered 26 girls with five from the development squad having their first taste of completion figures. The club also entered three teams and three duets.

The club took three medals in the figure competition. In section one Amelia Jones took bronze in the U12 category while Chelsea Holliday took silver in the 13 and over category. In section three Charlotte Patrick secured bronze.

In the duets, silver medals were taken by Alexandra Turner and Amelia Jones in the section two and Poppy Gray and Stephanie Ridge in section five.

The section two and under team of Angel Green, Georgia Hunter, Amelia Jones, Eleanor Whittle and Caroline Wilkinson also secured a bronze medal.

The Henley club are next in action on November 29 in the nationals in Gloucester. Next month the club will be holding their annual show at Henley Leisure Centre on December 8 from 6pm.
