A PARTY is to be held at Mapledurham Lawn Tennis Club to celebrate £66,000 of improvements.

The club received a £38,800 grant from Sport England and contributed £27,700 itself.

The courts are being resurfaced and refenced and a large verandah is being added to the pavilion. Disabled access and the parking bays will be improved and the area around the courts is being relandscaped.

The party will be held on Sunday, September 7 from 10am to 4pm. There will be refreshments, competitions and a bouncy castle for children, mini- tennis sessions run by Gary Drake Tennis, equipment sales, racket trials by Henley Sport and photos with Rudolph Walker, who plays Patrick Trueman in EastEnders.
