Don’t take my word for it, says satirist

HAILED as “Britain’s leading musical satirist” by the Times, Mitch Benn is bringing his critically acclaimed show to the Kenton Theatre later this month.

Don’t Believe a Word is playing at the New Street venue on Saturday, October 22, and Mitch, who is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show, explains the basic premise as follows.

“I’m a sceptic,” he says. “But don’t take my word for it. Or indeed anybody’s. For anything...”

The show is one that aims to make people laugh a lot and think a bit as Mitch debunks myths, exposes nonsense and grapples with the very nature of knowledge itself — with amusing consequences and of course a few songs along the way.

Tickets are £15. To book, call the box office on (01491) 575698 or visit www.kentontheatre.co.uk
