A FESTIVAL of one-act plays celebrating theatre came to a close with the top theatre groups going home with prizes.
Audiences were offered a selection of new, old and some original plays at the 43rd Henley Drama Festival held at the Kenton Theatre in New Street.
Dramas, comedies and mysteries were performed over four evenings and judged by Colin Dolley - the chairman of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators.
Festival spokeswoman Jeni Wood said: “In spite of four drama groups pulling out of the festival at the last minute the Henley Drama Festival went ahead albeit for four, instead of the planned five, evenings.”
“We were especially pleased to welcome back the Friendly Bombs drama group including members with special needs from Slough who never fail to put on a good performance.
