Game for a laugh? Head to Reading...

COMEDY is king in Reading for the month of October, writes Beka Sharrock.

The town welcomes its annual comedy festival and this year promises to be a right laugh.

The line-up includes a promising mix of household names, Alan Davies, Jethro, Jim Davidson, Stephen K Amos, John Shuttleworth, Pam Ayres and Arthur Smith to name but a few, alongside rising stars like Chris Martin and David O’Doherty.

There’s a chance to get back into the habit (thank goodness others are paid to be funny!) with Songs of Sister Act where audience members are actively encouraged to attend in fancy dress.

Children are also catered for with James Campbell’s Comedy 4 Kids show.
