Village life under the microscope

Village life under the microscope
perhaps rather fittingly Woodcote Amateur Dramatic Society’s latest production centres around village life.

Day of Reckoning follows the organising committee for a summer village fete. They meet on a cold January night when it’s not just the temperature which is frosty. Protocol gives way to bickering and gossip and it seems nothing will ever be achieved. Fast forward six months and the villagers and committee are enjoying the fruits of their labours.Join busybody Ethel, Pauline, the long-suffering vicar’s wife, careworn Gloria, horsy Marjorie, elderly Mavis, shy new teacher Angela, Sally the brisk Army wife and Georffrey the vicar to find out what happens next.

The Pam Valentine comedy, directed by Sandra Evans, will be staged on October 16, 17 and 18 at Woodcote Village Hall. Box office (01491) 680573, email boxoffice@woodcotedrama.co.uk or go to woodcotedrama.co.uk
