Keeping it in the family for musical
THREE families from Henley make up the cast of the latest musical by the Henley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.

The Sound of Music will open at the Kenton Theatre on Thursday, starring seven members of three families spanning three generations.

Barbara Head, who played the lead role of Maria in the society’s first production of the musical 40 years ago, will return as Sister Constance, opposite her 16-year-old grandson, Fergus Head, who plays Rolf.

Julie Huntingdon, who chairs the society, will play Sister Berthe.

Her son Greg Clarke, from Bracknell, will play Max Detweiler and his seven-year-old daughter, Jasmine Clarke, will play Gretl, the youngest child in the Von Trappe family.
