Special cake for end of panto

THE cast and crew of Aladdin enjoyed a themed cake to celebrate the end of this year’s pantomime at the Kenton Theatre in Henley.

Terry Wilson, of Sugar Eccentric, spent two days making the cake, which comprised layers of lemon, vanilla and chocolate cake.

It was topped with a chocolate lamp made by Gorvett & Stone in Duke Street, Henley.

Mrs Wilson, from Fawley, said the cake was easier to create than some of her other commissions, such as cakes in the shape of fish and bouquets of flowers. She said: “It was really good fun and an enjoyable thing to do because you can express yourself.”

For last year’s Kenton pantomime, Cinderella, Mrs Wilson created a cake resembling a pile of cushions with a slipper on top.
