SHANE RICHIE went down such a storm at the Wycombe Swan panto last year that he’s already been signed up again, this time as the gold-seeking adventurer in Dick Whittington, writes Lesley Potter.
The Christmas show will be produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer which has established a reputation for staging large-scale productions packed with special effects.
Michael Harrison, MD of Qdos Entertainment’s pantomime division, said: “Shane is an outstanding comedy actor and we’re absolutely delighted that he’s agreed to return to Wycombe Swan this Christmas.”
Simon Stallworthy, Wycombe Swan’s theatre director, added: “Audiences in Wycombe loved Shane’s unique and very funny performance as Buttons last year, and he clearly loved being here.
“He has a real warmth as a performer and establishes a great relationship with the audience. He’s one of the top pantomime performers in the country and we are thrilled to be welcoming him back to the Swan this year. It will be a real treat and a chance for those that couldn’t get tickets to see an actor and comedian at the top of his game in action.”
