A TEENAGER has been offered a place at the National Youth Theatre despite thinking she had “mucked up” her audition.
Martha Palmer Endean, 14, secured a spot on the intensive two-week course after impressing judges with her audition in February.
She is one of 560 people to get a place out of 5,000 who applied. The course has an age-range of 14-to-25 and its alumni includes Dame Helen Mirren and Colin Firth.
Martha, who lives in North Stoke, waited eight weeks for her results and feared that she didn’t make the grade.
Her father Andrew said: “Martha didn’t hear back and therefore we had pretty much given up but it turned out there was a mix up with her email address. But when she got the news she basically started dancing around the sitting room.”
