TIME travel, dodgy business dealings, a leather-clad dominatrix and murderous intent: the Kenton Theatre will be rocked to its ancient roots next week when Henley Players present Alan Ayckbourn’s Communicating Doors, writes Mike Rowbottom. The play spans 40 years but is squeezed into one night through a mysterious hotel door. Murders are planned and thwarted, characters are killed and then revived through the magic of Ayckbourn’s extraordinary imagination.

“This is the playwright at his trickiest and most ingenious,” says director Darrel Poulos. “It’s funny and engaging all the way through, but with a killer twist at the end.”
